Ludwig Steiner purchased the land for Steiners Landing from Mr. Cadel in 1926.
"I received the building permit on Nov. 11, 1926."
The Steiner house was built by Ludwig Steiner in the Winter of 1926-27.
Grandpa Steiner had taken and passed a correspondence course in carpentry.
Steiners Landing was supposed to be called Steiners Grove,
but depite many tries, trees would not grow in the brackish water.
Ludwigs son John was 4 years old when they moved in.
The dormer was put on in 1947/48 to give them a little more room.
(There was no heat in the attic, and it was hot in the summer.)
