I have had this table longer than 33 years;
its previous owner lived in Woodridge, NJ.
I liked the real wood parts and the wood wedges that held the center bar in;
the top is lag-bolted on. The top of the table is some kind of
laminated fine-grain particle board, the support structure is solid wood, maybe pine.
It wobbled a little side-to-side but I just discovered that that is what the wooden wedges are for;
I tapped them down a little and the table tightened right up !
The piece hanging on a string is an extra washer for the lag-bolts.
